This site offers resources in Spanish for all ages in two unique interfaces, each with its own comprehensive encyclopedia: Enciclopedia Moderna for high school ages and up and Britannica Escolar Online for ages 6-12.

Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos

Spanish language encyclopedia with excellent articles for the beginning Spanish language student to read for information.  Special features include direct links to several Spanish language newspapers from around the world.

The innovative Oxford Dictionaries site offers fully searchable, completely comprehensive bilingual dictionaries, and unique study materials that provide extra help with learning and using an expanding range of languages.

Art Museums in Spain

  • The Prado (Madrid)
    The Prado Museum is home to the art collections of 16th and 17th century Spanish monarchs, representing such major artists as Bosch, Titian, El Greco, Rubens, Velázquez and Goya. While considered one of the world's premier museums for painting, The Prado also is home to sculpture, drawings, and decorative arts from antiquity to the 19th century.
  • Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid)
    Spain's national museum for the collection of 20th century and contemporary, the Museum opened in 1992 and is the home to Picasso's Guernica.
  • Guggenheim Museum Bilbao
    Designed by the Canadian architect Frank Gehry, the Bilbao is home to permanent and visiting exhibitions of contemporary art. The building itself is a masterpiece of modern architecture.
